"Focus and pleasure"
Mind Controlled interactive mapping
Taste Discovery is an interactive experience that allows the audience to explore a new aspect of wine tasting. During the tasting, the brain activity of the user is captured and is used to create an audio and visual experience that allows the audience to sense what the taster is feeling. After trying the 3 different wines, the brain activity data is used to compute the wine the taster as enjoyed the most.
To visualise the brain activity during the wine tasting, we decided to rethink the Portuguese tradition of azulejos. The tile patterns were brought to life using the brain data from the sensors. The movement of the azulejos patterns become more abstract and sporadic as the taster is engaged by the flavours of the wine.
